If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I love participating in online communities and even have a few that I cherish immensely. I just hate it when people turn all caustic though and try to take unfounded jabs at people. I usually retaliate pretty fast to these types of interactions and strike back with such force that they never realize what is coming until it is to late and unrecoverable.

I am very good at what I do SEO wise. I really do not have the patience for teaching other people how to do things unless they have some basic aptitude that is why I like doing my own thing so well. This coupled with the fact that I am working as an Internet Sales Manager now it does not give me time to help a hapless newbie.  Nor does it give me the patience to try to explain things to people who are so convinced they are right that no amount of explanation will help.  I just wont let them get the last word in though which seems to be a character flaw of mine.

Oh well just don’t tell me how proud of your keywords you are and be a jack ass about it you are subject to lose them!!

Marketing products and services online can be a very rewarding proposition if you can accurately target your customer.  Many times people get confused on exactly who is the most profitable customer to attract.  I am actively working as an Internet Sales Manager in the automotive industry in addition to my other online marketing activities and the automotive niche marketers really have it all wrong in my opinion.

The money that drives the automotive industry is from consumer who purchase cars from dealers.  Bottom line all other aspects of the automotive niche rely on this transaction to drive all other aspects of the industry.  If it were not for the main distribution channel of automobiles no other aspect of the auto industry could survive, however there are many sub niches inside of this large niche.  From parts and service to transportation and fuel.

There are so many different sub niches that can be targeted inside of the auto industry it is unfathomable to attempt to cover them all.  One thing I have noticed is that many of the online niche marketers in this segment are trying to cover every aspect of it and at the same time not doing really one segment of it well.  That is taking advantage of the long tail but at what expense to the driving force of the industry?

Most of the automotive niche marketing is done at the expense of the dealers who fuel that economy.  Amazing and profitable, but really why try to take away from your bread and butter?

As an internet marketer I feel that it is critical to build YOUR BRAND and not the brands of others.  While it is apparent if you are going to market products and offers via SEO sometime content has to be geared towards the product you are marketing leaving you out of the equation or does it?

Having reentered the “workforce” as an Internet Sales Manger for Carl Gregory in Brunswick I have started creating multiple levels of content geared to generate leads to sell cars using  “bum marketing” techniques.  The nice thing about using this method it allows me to not only build a search engine presense for the products we sell at the dealership it also allows me to have a personal branding message to the prospects that find this content.  Selling high ticket items such as cars does require a level of personal interaction that is not experienced in a true online marketing environment.

Each piece of content generated has a call to action for people to contact me directly to purchase their next vehicle.   While some of the content generated may directly attempt to brand the store it always contains a way for people to get in contact with me while at the same time building search engine reputation management for myself and the dealership in the process.  Also this content is transportable if I find myself in another situation or wish to turn some of the content into affiliate marketing pieces at a later time or use strictly for SEO purposes.

Some of the tools I am using to build my brand also have a level of monetization tied into them that add to the many streams of online income that I dearly love.   This is taking online marketing to a level that many ignore and others do not want you to know about.  The process is easy for me and in the near future I will be releasing a subscriber based manual on how to use these techniques to build your brand.
